As a Maricopa County Animal Care & Control volunteer, we can choose a foster ready dog out for the day!
It’s amazing what even just a few hours out of the noisy shelter can do.
Amari soaked it all up!
We started off visiting a private Sniffspot, then headed over to Downtown Mesa for a walk. We then grabbed coffee at the Nile shop, where it’s dog friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Amari didn’t react to the light rail zooming by, the kids at the museum entrance or the small dogs barking.
It’s never easy to drop them off, but he was nice and toted from his trip, thankfully.
When I arrived home, to send in images to update his portal photo, Amari had got himself adopted!
We did meet a sweet human that loved him, so we are going to assume that’s their happy rest of their lives!
