Back to School, But Make It Dogs šāļøš¾
School picture day got a major upgradeĀ this yearā¦ because instead of awkward smiles and questionable haircuts, we had DOGS. š
Our Back to School sessions at Pixie Sticks Dog BoutiqueĀ were full of tiny scholars, very serious students, questionable attention spans and at least a few pups who were clearly only attending class for the snacks.
And this SET. š Giant pencils, crayons, ABC blocks, a globe, bright colors and all the nostalgic school-picture-day vibes ā just way cuter.
Every dog brings something different
This is one of my favorite things about themed sessions: the set might stay the same, but every dog makes it completely their own.
Some sit down like theyāve been practicing for picture day all week. Some give me the āmy mother signed me up for thisāĀ face. Some need a little extra time to sniff everything, figure me out and decide whether participating is worth the treats.
And all of that is okay.
My job isnāt to make every dog behave exactly the same for a photo. Itās to work with the dog in front of me ā their personality, comfort level, attention span and all.
Because perfectly behaved isnāt a requirement for ridiculously cute school pictures.
Pop-up dog photography at Pixie Sticks
I love getting to create these little themed photo days at Pixie Sticks Dog Boutique. Theyāre short, fun sessions designed specifically for dogs, with a completely different experience from a traditional portrait session.
You come in, we let your pup get situated, I work my dog-photographer magic (which involves an unreasonable collection of noises š), and before they know it, picture day is DONE.
No homework required.
Just cute dogs, fun sets and photos that youāll be pulling out years from now thinking, I cannot believe I actually did school pictures for my dog.
And I will be here to remind you:
