What to Wear

When planning outfits for your family dog photo session, keep it simple, timeless, and comfortable. Avoid clothing with bold logos (like Nike or sports teams) or loud patterns that can distract from the connection between you and your dog. Stick to soft, neutral, or earthy tones that photograph beautifully and won’t clash with your pet’s coloring. Since some poses involve sitting or kneeling, opt for longer skirts, dresses, or pants to ensure comfort and coverage. Closed-toe shoes or clean, neutral footwear are a better choice than flip-flops or overly casual shoes. And remember—your pup is part of the family, so a coordinating collar or bandana for them can add a nice finishing touch. Keep it relaxed, feel like yourselves, and let the love shine through.

Take a moment to think about what you want to remember from this session—whether it's playfulness, connection, or quiet companionship—and dress in a way that helps you feel at ease and connected to that intention. The more "you" it feels, the more meaningful the photos will be.
