Every photo in the Purple Paws Calendar tells a story of hope, healing, and second chances — for both people and pets. When you enter, vote, or donate, you’re helping survivors of domestic violence find safety with their animals through the Sojourner Center’s Pet Companion Program.
Winning entries receive a free professional photoshoot — just like this one — where love, light, and healing take center stage.

The Purple Paws Calendar isn’t about pretty pictures.
It’s about honoring survivors — and the animals who stayed beside them through things they’ll never put into words.
It’s about choosing safety together.
Because leaving an unsafe situation shouldn’t mean leaving a pet behind.
We are raising funds so survivors of domestic violence can leave with their animals through the Sojourner Center’s Pet Companion Program.
So one more person can say:
“I don’t have to choose between my life and my dog.”
