In the summer of 2018, while on assignment for San Tan Sun News of the Times Media Group, I got to meet Annie. Annie is Chandler Police Department's first full-time therapy dog. I love being a photographer, as I get to meet so many people, doing great things for others!
I wanted to post this today, October 1st. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Chandler, AZ has a Family Advocacy Program for people that need refuge from their abusive partner. Annie is also to help the department's employees that are subjected to traumatic events are part of their duties.
